cavu_logoHerb’s success has been in transition situations – startups, growth, stagnation, crisis – requiring quick assessment, clarity in vision and strategy, and successful implementation. His corporate executive experience is augmented by consulting achievements managing successful projects for Fortune 100 companies.

In his previous firm, CAVU Consulting, LLC, Herb’s clients included eBay, Wells Fargo Bank, Visa, Hewlett Packard and Bank of America. Assignments were in strategy, finance, operations, new market/product development, systems and litigation. He accumulated a track record of 100% of his projects being completed successfully – delivered as planned, on time, and within or below budget.

Herb has also held executive positions in financial services, manufacturing and corporate services. At Bank of America, he was CFO and CAO for two new divisions, the last being BA Capital Markets Group where he integrated the strategy, finance, operations, and administrative functions of 9 global units into one $4 billion investment banking division.

As COO of Electrical Power Products, Inc., Herb successfully doubled the revenues of this stagnant company in two years and obtained SBA 8(a) certification allowing the company to secure large government contracts. As CFO of Computer Resources Group, he turned around the financials of the company in 13 months, resolving more than two years of consecutive losses and potential bankruptcy.

Chosen by California\’s Governor to its Executive Fellowship Program, analogous to the White House Fellowship Program, Herb’s efforts during his tenure focused on fostering the economy of California. He worked on an innovative finance strategy, was involved in legislation that increased investment latitude for public pension funds, produced a seminar with top Venture Capitalists and Corporate Equity Managers to educate public pension fund managers on their new investment opportunities, and negotiated the purchase of the guaranteed portion of SBA loans to increase loan availability for California businesses.

Herb donates his free time to helping various non-profit organizations. He is a Support Counselor with the National Brain Tumor Society and provides pro bono financial services to his Church and its members. He was also on the Board of the internationally-known Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Inc. and was a Board Member of the Year.

Herb graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing, and from Santa Clara University with a MBA in International Marketing and Finance.

Robert Hall, End-to-End Analytics

Supply Chain Consulting

Read Bio

e2e_analytics_log_as95End-to-End’s consulting services focus on supply chain problems where rigorous analysis and effective process improvement efforts yield major improvements in profitability, asset utilization, and customer experience. These include problems that lend themselves to analytical methodologies, a cross-functional approach, or both. End-to-End’s project experience is clustered into a set of activity areas that map onto a two-dimensional supply chain framework.

The value of the End-to-End Analytics approach is that in improving any particular supply chain function, it improves the entire system of supply chain processes that must work together. While the primary focus is on the problems that lend themselves to analytical techniques, End-to-End has found that the data-driven approach often yields significant benefits in more straight forward blocking-and-tackling efforts as well.
